There are four main happy hormones, we’ve created an acronym: D.O.S.E.
All these hormones are released when you exercise, spend time with friends and family and when you take time for self-care (meditation, breathing etc).

Your Happy Hormones Are The Answer
There are four main Happy Hormones in your body and learning to make the most of them is key to your success in weight loss and many other areas of your life. A DOSE of Kindness goes a long way!
Dopamine
Dopamine – helps us feel pleasure as part of the brain’s reward system (designed for survival).

Oxytocin
Oxytocin, Mostly involved with child-birth, but it’s also released when we spend time with friends and family. It’s also released when we hug, that’s why it’s also known as the “hug drug”.

Serotonin
Serotonin Helps balance mood and feel happier. Its released when we are in daylight. 90% of Serotonin is produced in the gut and it’s one of the hormones that most influences what you eat.

Endorphins
Endorphins are your body’s natural painkiller! Laughter increases endorphins. The more endorphins you release, the more control you’ll have over your appetite. Get excited, get those endorphins flowing!
